The armed forces have conducted rescue, medical care and relief operations in various flood-affected areas of the country. Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has informed this information in a press release today. According to the notification, 2 thousand 300 people have been rescued from various flood-affected areas by helicopters and boats of the armed forces and taken to various shelters. Apart from this, 18 thousand 394 packets of food items have been distributed. Besides, 864 people have been treated through seven temporary medical teams. According to ISPR, 4 thousand 482 packets of food items have been delivered to inaccessible areas through helicopters of Army, Air Force, BGB and RAB. 19 people were taken to hospital by army helicopter and 6 people by air force helicopter. Along with 11 camps of the armed forces, five army, seven air force, two RAB and one BGB helicopter units have been deployed in the flood-affected areas. Meanwhile, BGB said in a press release today that 550 flood-affected people in Daganbhooman of Feni have been given free medical care and medicine.
